Lansing Maker Faire | Laser Cut Art

TinkrLAB, SeeMeCNC, and APLazer are pleased to announce the “TechnoArt Showcase – Gallery of Possibilities”

A Laser and 3D Printing Art Exhibition at the first annual 2017 Lansing Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 at the Meridian Mall in Okemos, Michigan.

This Showcase, which is meant purely as an exhibition and not a competition, is to raise awareness of 3D printing and laser cutting in the arts, to engage creative design thinking, and to educate the general public about cool technologies.

The talented artists entered in the Showcase are exploring the possibilities of 3D printing and laser cutting/engraving in their artwork.  They use materials that are can be printed or laser cut/etched, including stone, acrylic, wood, glass, metal, bone, leather, fabric, ceramic, pottery, and many others. Some of the artists really let their creativity run wild, and used two or more kinds of material, and even added cool technologies, like LED lights, electronics, and mini-computers.

This Showcase is open to all ages, with divisions for Elementary School, Junior High, High School, Post-High School, and Post-Post High School. Team efforts were also encouraged to enter.

For more information about the Showcase, go to www.TechnoArtShowcase.com, or contact Joe Rabideau: joe@TechnoArtShowcase.com and use “TechnoArt Showcase” in the subject line.
